Chef/Owner David Hafer graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in 1992 where he concentrated in food and beverage management. He then moved to Telluride where he worked many different positions in the kitchen ranging from prep cook to head chef in a few different restaurants. When Dave Hafer left Telluride in 1995 after a three-year stint here, he thought he'd only be gone for the winter. Six years later, he finally found his way back to the San Juan Mountains full of culinary and restaurant management experience from throughout the Western Hemisphere.
During his time away from Telluride, Hafer gained mountains of priceless knowledge about food itself and the food and beverage business. He managed restaurants in Hawaii, San Francisco, the Cayman Islands and Boston.
Working all aspects of the food business gave Dave the inspiration to start his own business in Telluride that would allow him to enjoy the creative culinary aspect as well as utilize his management experience. The catering business allows the flexibility to treat every client independently and truly service their individual needs.
